The Empress is abundance with a body. Wheat at her feet, a soft cushion, a crown of stars. She rules anything that grows: a child, a garden, a project, a feeling. Where she sits, things take.
Upright
Upright, the Empress is creativity in its most physical sense. Something you have been seeding is about to bloom. The card is permission to receive, to enjoy, to take care of your body and the people in your house with no shame attached.
Reversed
Reversed, the Empress is care turned in on itself. Too much giving, not enough taking. Or a creative block that is not actually about ideas, it is about exhaustion. The cure is rest, not effort.
When it shows up
She tends to show up before something is born: a project, a person, a home. Pay attention to what your body is asking for around her.
