Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Lunara is a web service offering personalised astrology-themed readings, tarot rituals, compatibility analyses, and a conversational guide experience, all generated by Artificial Intelligence. Lunara is operated by the individual listed in the Impressum (the “operator”, “we”, “us”). Access to paid features is provided through Gumroad, Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, completing onboarding, opening a free reading, starting a guide conversation, or purchasing any product on Lunara, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and the Impressum. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, generate a reading, or make any purchase.

3. How Lunara works: use of Artificial Intelligence

You expressly understand and acknowledge that every reading, interpretation, daily message, ritual, tarot description, compatibility analysis, and guide reply on Lunara is produced by Artificial Intelligence, including large language models provided by third parties such as OpenAI and other similar generative systems we may use from time to time. The astrology calculations themselves (planetary positions, houses, aspects) are computed by software, and the written interpretation around those calculations is generated by Artificial Intelligence using prompts written by us.

Lunara configures and constrains the underlying Artificial Intelligence with strict, narrowly defined rules: a defined persona, a specific voice and conversational style, and firm guardrails on what the guide may and may not say. The experience you receive is shaped by those rules. It is the result of an opinionated, designed product, not the output of an unconstrained chatbot. The guide is still not a real human, is not a licensed professional of any kind, and cannot form a personal relationship with you. Any apparent emotion, memory, empathy, or insight is part of that designed experience.

4. Nature of the service: entertainment only

Lunara is offered strictly for entertainment, self-reflection, creative inspiration, and emotional storytelling. Nothing produced by Lunara is, or is intended to be:

• medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic advice or diagnosis;
• legal advice or representation;
• financial, tax, investment, or business advice;
• relationship, marital, family, parenting, or fertility advice;
• career, employment, or educational counselling;
• a substitute for any consultation with a qualified, licensed professional.

You must not rely on Lunara to make any decision that may affect your health, safety, finances, legal position, relationships, employment, or wellbeing. If you need professional support in any of these areas, you must consult an appropriately qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

5. Limitations and known risks of Artificial Intelligence content

Artificial Intelligence systems, including the ones used by Lunara, have well-documented limitations. By using Lunara you accept all of the following risks:

• Hallucinations. Artificial Intelligence may produce statements that sound confident but are factually wrong, invented, internally inconsistent, or have no basis in any astrological tradition or in reality.
• No verification of truth. Output is generated statistically and is not fact-checked, sourced, or verified before you see it.
• No predictive value. Nothing produced by Lunara predicts or can predict the future, the actions or feelings of other people, the outcome of any decision, or any real-world event.
• Bias. Artificial Intelligence models may reflect cultural, gender, racial, religious, or other biases present in their training data.
• Sensitive or distressing content. Output may occasionally touch on themes that some users find unsettling, triggering, or in conflict with their personal, religious, or philosophical beliefs.
• Variability. The same input may produce different output at different times. Output is not reproducible and is not authoritative.
• No therapeutic value. The guide conversation may feel emotionally meaningful but it is not therapy, counselling, coaching, or any form of clinical intervention.

You agree to treat all Lunara output as creative writing and entertainment. Any decision, action, or inaction you take after reading Lunara content is solely your own choice and your sole responsibility.

6. No professional relationship

The operator of Lunara is not a licensed astrologer, psychologist, psychiatrist, medical doctor, therapist, counsellor, social worker, coach, lawyer, financial advisor, tax advisor, or any other regulated professional. No use of Lunara creates a professional, therapeutic, fiduciary, advisory, agency, employment, or any other special-duty relationship between you and the operator. Using Lunara does not give rise to a duty of care beyond the obligations explicitly set out in these terms.

7. Mental health and crisis

Lunara is not designed to handle mental health crises, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, abuse, or any medical or psychiatric emergency. If you are in crisis or in danger, stop using Lunara immediately and contact emergency services in your country (in the European Union: 112) or a qualified mental-health professional. If you reach out to the guide conversation with content of this kind, the response is generated by Artificial Intelligence and is not a substitute for help from a qualified human professional.

8. Accounts and security

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during onboarding (birth date, time, place, and any other input). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for all activity that takes place under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, attempt to bypass payment, or pose a risk to the service or to other users.

9. Payments

All payments are processed by Gumroad, Inc. as Merchant of Record. Gumroad issues the receipt, handles applicable taxes (including EU VAT where relevant), and is responsible for payment processing. Prices are shown in the currency stated beside each amount and may change at any time. By purchasing, you authorise Gumroad to charge your chosen payment method.

10. Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your Gumroad customer portal, linked in your receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No refund is due for unused time after cancellation, except where required by applicable law.

11. One-time purchases (Deep readings)

Deep Match, Deep Natal, and other one-time readings are digital goods generated on demand by Artificial Intelligence and delivered immediately once the payment is confirmed. By purchasing a Deep reading you expressly agree that:

• delivery begins immediately upon payment confirmation;
• you lose the EU right of withdrawal as soon as the reading has been generated, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights;
• you have read and accepted the limitations of Artificial Intelligence content described in section 5 above, and you do not expect the reading to be accurate, predictive, or true.

12. Intellectual property

Lunara, the Lunara name and logo, site design, prompts, reading templates, system instructions, persona designs, and the curated presentation of generated output are the intellectual property of the operator. The text, images, and other content of individual readings are produced by Artificial Intelligence and delivered to you under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view, save, and share your own readings for non-commercial personal use. You may not resell, republish, scrape, mirror, reverse engineer, or use Lunara content or prompts to train, fine-tune, or operate a competing service.

13. Your content

You retain ownership of the personal data and content you submit (names, birth data, journal entries, chat messages, partner data you choose to enter). You confirm that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. You grant Lunara a limited, royalty-free licence to process that content solely to operate the service for you, including sending the minimum context required to third-party Artificial Intelligence providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Lunara to:

• submit data about any identifiable third party without their consent;
• submit data about minors;
• attempt to extract, copy, or reverse-engineer the prompts, system instructions, or model behaviour;
• generate content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving any non-consenting party;
• attempt to make the guide give medical, legal, or financial advice you intend to act on;
• use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest content;
• circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or other technical controls;
• resell access to your account.

15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims all implied warranties including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, correctness, completeness, reliability, availability, and suitability of Lunara content for any purpose. The operator does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the output of any Artificial Intelligence model will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator, its affiliates, contractors, and licensors shall not be liablefor any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, or any other intangible loss arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, Lunara or any decision you make based on Lunara content. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, the operator’s aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid to Lunara in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or twenty euros (€20), whichever is lower.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.

16. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator and any of its successors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• your use of Lunara or any Artificial Intelligence content delivered through it;
• any decision or action you take, or fail to take, based on Lunara content;
• your breach of these terms;
• your violation of any third-party right, including by submitting another person’s data without consent;
• any claim that content you submitted to Lunara caused damage to a third party.

17. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. Upon termination, access to paid features ends and your personal data is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution) survive termination.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of Lunara are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of habitual residence as a consumer within the European Union.

The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by email first. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it shall be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction over the seat of the operator. Consumers in the European Union may also use the online dispute resolution platform of the European Commission at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, including to reflect changes in the Artificial Intelligence systems we use, the products we offer, or applicable law. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in-app. Continued use of Lunara after the change means you accept the updated terms.

20. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and the invalid provision will be replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects the original intent. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Impressum, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding Lunara and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject matter.
