The Eight of Wands is the eighth card of Wands, the suit of fire. Picture eight wands flying through the air, a scene of pure momentum and direction. This card is not about where they land; it is about the speed with which they move. It is the pulse of anticipation in your chest.
Upright
Upright, the Eight of Wands is the text message that changes your day, the project that suddenly has a deadline, the travel plans you need to finalize. It is everything happening at once, and you finally feeling alive enough to run with it. This is not the time to hesitate.
Reversed
Reversed, the Eight of Wands is the feeling of hitting every red light on the way to work. The email that you keep drafting but never send. It is the mounting frustration of plans that refuse to pick up speed. The card asks if the delay is coming from outside, or from your own reluctance to move.
When it shows up
The Eight of Wands tends to show up when you have been waiting for something to kick into high gear. The rush is coming, ready or not.
