The Two of Swords is the second card of Swords, the suit of air. In the classic scene, a person sits blindfolded, holding two crossed swords, caught between choices they refuse to see. This card is about the tension when you are the only thing standing in your own way.
Upright
Upright, the Two of Swords shows up when you are avoiding a decision that cannot be postponed. The third time you open the same tab instead of sending the email. The card is your reminder that the middle of the road is not a safe place to stand. The decision itself will not hurt as much as the waiting.
Reversed
Reversed, the Two of Swords signals the exhaustion of indecision finally forcing a choice. Or the noise of too many voices obscuring your own. This card warns of the chaos of mixed signals and the danger of letting confusion become your default.
When it shows up
The Two of Swords appears when you are on the verge of making a choice but keep stalling. When you cannot watch another episode, eat another snack, or read another article to avoid it.
